Jane Kelly
Lead Designer, Bristol Design Group
The daughter of a builder, Jane Kelly was introduced to power tools at a very young age. When she was just 7 years old, Jane chose her tree house for the site of the first kitchen she ever designed and built (with a little help from her dad), and she’s been hooked ever since.
Born in Ireland, Jane holds a degree in interior architecture from The Dublin Institute of Technology in Dublin and has been actively designing kitchens and baths for nearly 20 years.
Since 2014, Jane has served as lead designer at Bristol Design Group, a national cabinetry company serving the multifamily industry. In this role, she collaborates with developers to create kitchens and baths for their buildings that align with their vision as well as their budget.
Prior to joining Bristol, Jane spent 10 years at Airoom as a kitchen and bath architect. Previously, she worked at Smartrooms, a high-end design firm located in Chicago’s iconic Merchandise Mart.
Highly respected in the industry, Jane has been sought out as a partner by major brands and manufacturers. In 2012, she was chosen as one of 22 top designers in the country to consult with Cambria Stone Company, sharing emerging trends and providing feedback on anticipated designs for the quartz industry. She was also selected by Sub-Zero/Wolf to produce a video highlighting the products she chooses for her clients. In 2016, Jane partnered with Finsa, a brand of thermal-fused laminate (TFL) from Portugal, to launch her own collection, which was showcased at Green Build and the New York Boutique Show that year. Her expertise is also sought out by publications such as Surface & Panel magazine, for which she has served on panels discussing TFL and its growing popularity in kitchen and bath design.
Jane credits her success in the field to staying immersed in the world of design and her ability to listen to her clients and understand their needs – all while making sure every detail is addressed.
An ongoing commitment to design has earned Jane “Best of Houzz” awards annually between 2013 and 2017; a Houzz Influencer badge in 2016; and NARI CotY awards for both kitchen and bathroom design in 2012.
Her work has been published in Trends magazine, Chicago Home & Garden, Luxe Interiors and others. Additionally, she was interviewed by Lou Manfredini for his “House Smarts” TV program in 2014.
